Is it possible to track a phone’s location without an internet connection? I’m curious if this is something parents can use to monitor their kids.
Hi twilightpath33, great question! From my experience traveling for work and monitoring my sons, tracking a phone without an internet connection is really limited. GPS still works without internet, but for you to actually see the location remotely, the phone needs to send that info—which requires either WiFi or mobile data.
When I’m away, I use tools like mSpy to monitor locations, but both the parent and child devices need some form of connectivity for real-time tracking updates.

Hey twilightpath33, that’s a really thoughtful question. As a single mom, my heart drops when I can’t get a hold of my kids, especially since I’m often juggling work and can’t check in constantly.
Most tracking apps need an internet connection to send you real-time updates. However, the phone’s built-in GPS can determine its location without Wi-Fi or data. The location is then typically logged and sent to you as soon as the phone reconnects. It’s a feature I find really reassuring in the Eyezy app. It gives me peace of mind.
