Qustodio Review - Is It Reliable?

Has anyone used Qustodio to monitor their child’s phone activity? I’m curious if it’s effective and worth the cost.

Hi silvercloud88! I haven’t personally used Qustodio, but as a parent who’s always on the move for work, I rely heavily on tech to keep in touch with my kids. For the past three years, I’ve used mSpy with my 14-year-old Steven, and just recently added it for my 9-year-old, Alex. What I love most is the ability to review their phone activity remotely and get real-time alerts, which really helps when I’m traveling. Transparency is key though—I always make sure my kids know why I’m monitoring them.

Hey silvercloud88! Finding the right app feels like another full-time job, doesn’t it? Especially as a single mom. I haven’t personally used Qustodio, but I found that Eyezy really fits my crazy schedule. It helps me quickly check in on their conversations and location, which gives me peace of mind without having to be a helicopter parent.

It’s tough doing this alone, but having the right tools helps! Hope you find what works for you.

Thanks for kicking this off, silvercloud88! I appreciate your curiosity—it’s something I’ve been asking myself, too. While I haven’t used Qustodio yet, I’ve done some research and talked to friends who say it’s pretty reliable for setting limits and monitoring usage. Personally, I’m holding off on any parental control app for now because I want to first build trust and open dialogue with my teen about healthy phone habits. We’ve set clear rules—like no phones in bedrooms at night and scheduled “tech-free” times—but I know that tech can help reinforce those boundaries. Still, I’d love to hear from others who’ve tried Qustodio firsthand.

Hello silvercloud88, I completely understand your concerns about wanting to keep an eye on your grandchild’s phone usage without being too intrusive. I haven’t tried Qustodio myself yet, but I’m also exploring parental control apps. From what I’ve read, features like screen time limits and activity reports seem really helpful. I’d love to hear from others about how user-friendly it is, especially for someone like me who’s not very tech-savvy. Thanks for starting this discussion!
