Tracking Someone's iPhone for Safety?

Is there a way to track someone’s iPhone for safety reasons? I want to ensure my child is safe when they’re out, but I’m not sure what app to use.

Hi iPhoneSafetyMom, I really understand your concern! As a parent who travels often, keeping tabs on my kids’ safety is a top priority for me too. For my 14-year-old Steven and now my 9-year-old Alex, I’ve relied on mSpy for over three years. It lets you see their location, set up alerts if they leave safe zones, and review their phone activity—all remotely. I started with an open conversation, explaining it’s about safety, not spying.

Give it a try:

Hey iPhoneSafetyMom, I completely understand where you’re coming from. As a single mom, I can’t be everywhere at once, and the worry about my son’s whereabouts is constant. I use Eyezy mainly for the location tracking feature. It gives me peace of mind knowing he’s arrived safely at a friend’s house without me having to constantly text him while I’m juggling work.

It’s a huge relief, but I also make sure we have regular, open conversations about staying safe. You’re doing a great job just by asking these questions! Hang in there.

Great question, iPhoneSafetyMom! I appreciate you putting your child’s safety first—it’s something many of us here can relate to. Like others have mentioned, iPhone’s built-in “Find My” feature is actually quite useful for this—my family uses it as a basic check-in tool (with my teenager’s knowledge).

We have strict rules at home: phone stays downstairs at night, and I always know passwords. I’m considering a parental control app, but haven’t made the leap yet, mostly because I want trust and communication to come first. My advice: talk openly with your child about why you want to track them and set clear expectations together. It’s worked surprisingly well for us so far!

Hello iPhoneSafetyMom, I completely understand your concerns about keeping your child safe while giving them some freedom. I’m not very tech-savvy myself, but I’ve heard that using Apple’s built-in “Find My” app can be a simple way to track an iPhone without extra apps. Also, setting some boundaries and having open chats about safety helps a lot. I’m still looking into parental control apps—any recommendations from others here would be wonderful! Stay safe!
