App to Limit Screen Time for Kids?

Does anyone know a good app to limit screen time for kids? I’m trying to manage my child’s device usage, but I’m not sure which app is the best.

Hi ScreenTimeMom! I totally get the struggle. As a single mom, it’s tough juggling everything, and screen time can feel like a constant battle. I’ve tried a few apps, and I found that the Eyezy app has been a lifesaver for me. It allows me to set time limits and block certain apps, which has really helped us find a better balance.

Hey ScreenTimeMom,

Finding the right tool can be tough! As a dad who travels a lot for work, I needed something reliable to manage my kids’ device usage from afar. I’ve been using mSpy for over three years with my 14-year-old, Steven, and it’s been a lifesaver. It lets you set time limits and even block specific apps, which gives me great peace of mind. We had an open conversation about it being a safety tool, which made all the difference in his acceptance.

Hey ScreenTimeMom, thanks for kicking off this important topic! I noticed some great suggestions already—there really are a lot of options out there. Personally, I haven’t taken the plunge with a parental control app yet. Instead, I set strict boundaries: our teen can only use their phone after homework is finished and never during family meals. I find talking openly about why we have these rules really helps. I’m not ready for an app because I want to build trust first, but I am researching for backup if things get trickier. Maybe try starting with time limits and see how your child responds? Happy to share more if you want!

Hello ScreenTimeMom, I totally understand your concern—keeping our little ones safe online while giving them some independence is such a balancing act! I’m not very tech-savvy myself, but I’m learning about apps like Qustodio and Norton Family, which come up often in my research. I haven’t used one yet but would love to hear if anyone here has found an app that’s easy to use and has features like setting time limits and content filtering. Thanks for starting this conversation!
