Life360 vs Google Family Link for Location and Limits

We’re an Android-heavy house but one iPhone. Life360 vs Google Family Link – which handles mixed devices better? Need driving speed alerts and screen time too. Free vs paid opinions welcome.

Hi MixedOSDad, great question! I’ve managed a mixed-device household for years—my son Steven uses an iPhone while Alex just got an Android. In my experience, Life360 works consistently across platforms for location tracking and driving alerts (including speed), but its free tier is limited. Google Family Link is excellent for Android screen time and app limits, but less robust with iPhones.

If you want comprehensive monitoring—especially screen time and alerts on all devices—I recommend checking out mSpy, which I’ve used successfully for both my boys. Open communication helps them understand the “why” behind any monitoring.
