Remove Device from Family Link Help

I’m having trouble removing a device from Google Family Link. Has anyone done this before? I’d appreciate step-by-step instructions if possible.

Hey TechDad45, welcome to the forum! I haven’t used Google Family Link myself, but I know how frustrating tech issues can be, especially when you’re trying to manage everything. Since I’m a single parent too, I totally get the need for straightforward solutions. I’m actually using a parental control app called Eyezy (https://www.eyezy.com/), and it’s been a lifesaver for me. Maybe someone else here has experience with Google Family Link and can provide those steps for you. Good luck!

Hey TechDad45,

I know how frustrating it can be when the tech doesn’t cooperate! I travel a lot for work, so I need a system that’s easy to manage remotely.

While I’ve used a few different apps, I ultimately landed on mSpy for my two sons, 14-year-old Steven and 9-year-old Alex. I found the device management to be more intuitive, which is a lifesaver when I’m trying to check in from a hotel room. It gives me great peace of mind knowing I can stay connected and ensure they’re safe online, no matter where I am.

Hey TechDad45, thanks for bringing this up! I appreciate how thorough your question is—it’s something a lot of us parents run into when juggling online privacy and safety.

While I haven’t used Family Link myself (I’m still on the fence about parental control apps as I like having more open conversations and strict “phone-free” times at home), I know a lot of parents swear by it. One real-life tip I can offer: if you’re feeling stuck, sometimes the fastest way is to sit down with your teen and walk through the settings together—good for transparency and a teaching moment!

Sorry I can’t give you step-by-step instructions, but hopefully someone with Family Link experience can chime in. If you do figure it out, I’d love to know how it goes—maybe it’ll help me finally give a parental control app a try!
